First Look at “The Great Gatsby” 2012 Film!

The first official trailer for “The Great Gatsby” is finally here.  Directed by Baz Luhrmann, who is known for his imaginative work in “Moulin Rouge” and “Romeo + Juliet”, this film has a strong cast and a solid fan base.  Not only is “The Great Gatsby” expected to be a success as an adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s classic novel, but die-hard Leonardo DiCaprio fans are anxious to see him as the beloved Jay Gatsby.  Check out the trailer below!

    This could have the potential to be one of the greatest remakes ever. I think that the new spin on it may even inspire some readers out there. But, for heaven sake do not recreate all high school novels…especially “Streetcar Named Desire”.

  2. Thanks for all your feedback guys! I’m a little conflicted – I think it can go either way. Luhrmann likes to make a spectacle in his films but, if it’s too overdone, we might lose the classic Gatsby feeling. I still can’t wait to see it!

  3. I didn’t realise how many decent actors were involved in this film. (other than Di Caprio) Should be interesting but I never really liked the book to be honest.
